What Happens When You Order
When you place your order via PayPal we receive an email from them telling us what you have ordered and how much you have paid. We will then contact you by email within 1-2 working days, usually telling you that your book(s) have been dispatched. If you have not heard from us within 3 working days of ordering, please forward a copy of your confirming email from PayPal to jim@thedonotpress.com. If you do not receive a confirming email from PayPal this usually means that the order has not been processed.

Prices
Very occasionally prices alter (down as well as up), but the price we supply at is that shown at the time of ordering.

Secure Payments
All online payments on this site are by credit card or debit card via the secure PayPal payment system. Prices are shown in pounds sterling but your credit card will be charged in local currency at the exchange rate prevalent at the time of the transaction. Please note that exchange rates can and do fluctuate.

Postage and Packing
UK and Europe : There is no charge for postage and packing for books sent within the UK or to other European countries. If you are not sure whether your country is in Europe or not, please consult an atlas.

Overseas: we send by airmail ‘printed papers’ rate and charge a token £1.50 per paperback and £3.00 per hardback towards the increased postal costs.
• Please note that – despite what the shopping basket says – delivery charges are included in the price shown when you click the 'Add to Basket' button. Nothing further will be added to your order.

Delivery
In most cases, books listed on our website will be in stock and available to despatch within 1 or 2 working days. UK customers can usually expect to receive their orders within 3-10 working days of ordering. However, books do come in and out of stock and we do occasionally take days off, so delays can and do sometimes occur. Please allow up to 21 days for delivery before panicking. Adjust these times accordingly for destinations outside the UK. Large orders may be split and sent in separate packages.

Refunds and Returns
We will accept goods for return under the following conditions:
1. If an item is received damaged or faulty, or...
2. If we have made a mistake in fulfilling your order and have supplied an incorrect item.
In either case please notify us by post or by email within 28 days, explaining the circumstances. We will either supply a replacement or (in exceptional circumstances) give you a full refund via PayPal. Your replacement will be forwarded to you once the original item is received back by us. Please note that all goods remain the property of the customer until received back by The Do-Not Press.

Change of Mind
Once you agree to buy and send your payment details to PayPal you have entered into a binding contract. It is important that you only agree to buy via the secure server if you are satisfied with the books you have selected and with the total price shown (including carriage/postage), as adjustments cannot subsequently be made unless goods are found to be damaged, faulty or sent in error.

Complaints
Complaints can be e-mailed or you can contact us by telephone or fax (see our contact details above) All complaints will be confidentially dealt with by the Managing Director (or his deputy), normally acknowledged within 1 working day and resolved within 5 working days.

Local Taxes and Duties
It is your responsibility to pay any local taxes or import duties that may be applicable.

Confiscation of Prohibited Books
It is your responsibility to check with the appropiate authorities to ensure the books you order are not prohibited in your country of residence. We do not accept any responsibility for losses incurred due to books being confiscated by local authorities.
